You all know the basic plot of the movie. An irresponsible guy has a one night stand with a woman and she ends up pregnant. The movie is brought to you by the same people that brought you 'The Forty Year Old Virgin' and stars some of the same people.
This movie is really funny. It will provide you with some serious, laugh-out-loud moments. You can really relate to it because as a single man or woman, being 'with child' is the last thing that many of us want. We can all imagine that conversation with the girl we slept with one night and she comes back and says 'I'm pregnant!' Some of the scenes are predictable'"like going to the OB/GYN together'"but they are still hilarious. The only thing that is missing is jokes about hot lesbians. There is serious drug use in the film.
This is not going to be nominated for an Oscar, but it is hilarious. This is a Friday night film that you can bust a gut laughing at. I don't think it's a first date movie unless your date is really, really cool.
The character of the best friend's wife is played by Judd Apatow's real life wife. She is brilliant in this movie because you buy her as the tight ***, pain-in-***, she portrays. Seth Grogan is always hilarious as the slacker.
If you go expecting to laugh, you will have a great time. Do not expect high entertainment.
